Astrology is so amazing to me especially with regards to how it works. Back in October I blogged regarding Saturn moving in Scorpio and that there will be for the next two years a huge letting go of the past. Little did I know that the prediction was going to hit so close to home for me. I lost two important women in my life. One my beautiful biological sister and the other one of my oldest and dearest friends as well who was a Pisces so we were two fish enjoying our watery journey. They both left us over the holidays and I am just now returning to my life and allowing myself to feel the deep emotions of loss and sadness. Of course with the Sun in Pisces it is the perfect time to allow ourselves to FEEL.
This month’s message discusses the Sun moving to the sign of Pisces and the Full Moon in Virgo, its opposite. Actually the Sun moved into Pisces on 2/18/13 at 6:02 am central time to be precise. Pisces is considered the sign of feelings and most of my readers know that I am a Pisces so I am somewhat of an expert on the subject of emotional response to life.
It is so critical that we realize, accept, understand and learn to process our emotional responses to the myriad of life’s challenges that continue to come our way.
The more spiritually attuned Pisces is the artist, the humorist and the compassionate giver of the zodiac who brings art, music, humor and the ability to blend, to integrate and to support. The lower octave of Pisces is the addictive escape artist and victim. It is easy for us Pisceans to be push overs. We allow ourselves to get caught into complex nets or hooked by someone else’s drama and then feel sorry for ourselves when we can’t get away. Hooked….Fish….Get it!
Pisces needs to realize that our inability to say NO and mean it or say YES and mean it can get us caught up in messes that eventually contribute to our unhappiness.
The fish feels deeply and completely, and in some situations this can be overwhelming.
So pay attention. Especially during these few days of the influence of the Full Moon in Virgo. Virgo is ruled by Mercury and Mercury is Retrograde in the sign of Pisces. Wow! What a powerful opposition. Virgo wants structure and organization. Pisces goes with the flow. Put these two together and you can learn what I call “emotional Intelligence”.
When we apply this kind of intelligence to our emotions it supports a stronger and more effective response to others and even ourselves. This eliminates miscommunication as well as misunderstandings that become disruptive to our physical and emotional wellness. No matter where Pisces is in your own natal chart, this emotional experience of feeling can be channeled into creative energy and used for good. It also can make us feel more vulnerable and open where we can be honest with regards to our true feelings. Mercury went into retrograde on 2/23 until March 17th. This is an excellent time to be sweet, compassionate and tender; first with yourself and then with others using the tools mentioned above.
Remember that when Mercury is Retrograde we can revisit, refine and redo whatever is in our minds that still needs some resolution. Because it is Pisces we know that emotions will be running high. Feelings will be deep and dreams will be powerful.
Be of sweet cheer and know that we are spiritual beings having a very human journey. The most important aspect of our humanity is our EMOTIONS. If we use this gift wisely it is where our passion and love and compassion lives!
