New Moons are an opportunity to open New Doors

This New Moon is in the sign of Virgo. The ultimate organizer, researcher and bringer together of information that is critical to our decision making process. Virgo is ruled by Mercury (God of Communication).

Hopefully we all know that Our Thoughts Create Our Reality. Pretty powerful stuff when we realize whatever we think is going to either support the goodness or reinforce the negative.

With our New Moon in Virgo which we will experience this weekend we can sing the song I love; especially the Jimmy Cliff version. “I can see clearly now”.

Do you see yourself clearly? Ask yourself who is the controller of your thoughts. Do you control them or do they control you? Powerful stuff; our thoughts. As Ernest Holmes teaches: Change Your Thinking….Change Your Life.

I believe we must heal the past to create a better future. We must honor our life in the present to create a better future.

Virgo governs the physical body and how we care for it. Healthy body; healthy mind. I taught a class for many years called “Making the Mind/Body Connection”. Now we can add; Spirit/Mind/Body. And yes, it is a big responsibility caring for all of it.
Remember that it all starts with our physicality. How strong are you? How healthy are you in your spirit, mind and body. Virgo innately knows what to do to be physically and mentally fit. Do you know what to do? Are you doing it?

Stop carrying around too much of what you no longer need; physically and mentally. Virgo likes to be organized. They know how to discriminate and discern. They have an eye for detail that is wonderful. Use it for support. Take this weekend to clean out the old and bring in the new. Here is a short and sweet affirmation to help you do just that.

Letting Go of the Past

Centered in Universal Light I am no longer burdened
by sad or negative thoughts, feelings or events of the past.
The Universe has swept them away.
I rejoice in the realization that the past is past.
I live in the positive and joyful memories of
people, places and things I have experienced in my life.
I am gentle and tolerant with myself.
I honor the wise Divine living within me
and I easily see the beautiful person I have become.

Look at the 12th house of your Sacred Birth Chart. This will tell you what you are karmically still attached to from other lifetimes; either yours or your ancestors. Saying goodbye to them by taking the best and leave the rest!

And finally we must address the challenges with the qualities of Virgo. They are quite the critics! They see perfection easily and, if not careful, they demand too much of it from themselves and others especially their loved ones.

So, I recommend, as always, we accept the less than perfect aspects of ourselves and we apply a strong dose of compassion to them.

Perfection can be overrated. Just saying. The one description of perfection I thought was perfect (l0l)…“a quality or feature of the highest degree of excellence”.
